Where have I been?

I have been on an adventure

Not a dead exiting one where I go to many places ( just one )

Many moons ago near the end of last year (before Christmas) my College lecture came in and asked us all if we wanted to go to a different part of the world for two whole weeks to do placement (to work in nursery's). If you wanted to go ahead and do it you would have to fill out an application to see if you where suitable to go. It took a long time for me to think about it but I filled out the application anyway (thinking I didn't have a chance). On my 18th birthday I was very naughty and took the day off college as I was having a party, thought-out this day I got an phone call from an unrecognisable number. I picked up the phone thinking it would be a distant relative phoning to wish me a happy birthday. It wasn't, It was one off my friends phoning me from college to tell me that if I wanted I was able to go to Malta! I was SO EXITED! that I had been accepted. I had said yes straight away and then they hug up the phone.

This is where my journey begins

We all had to by our own placement cloths but all the other expenses where paid for i.e. the hotel, flight, travel etc.
Buying cloths at that time of year to go abroad was hard but I seemed to manage also we only aloud 15kg worth of cloths (which id not enough for two weeks) after all the shopping and packing was done it seemed liked we had blinked and was time to leave for Malta.

Journey There

First everyone that was going had to be at the college for a certain time so we could all get a couch (a bus) to the airport. Once everyone was on the coach and had said goodbye to there parents or patents we soon left for the airport.
Once we where at the airport it was kind of like every man (in our case woman) for them self. We got given our boarding passes and got told to go and check in. Even although we where still together in our big group (30+ people to be exact) we had to weigh in our bags ourselves and check in ourselves. This was hard for me because this was my first time away from my parents abroad and I used to rely on them to help me with that sort of stuff. Anyway after checking in we had to go up to security and had all off that done as well. Do you know how when you go though security (even though you have done nothing wrong and you have no weapons) your heart races just encase the scanner beeps and you need to have a pat down (if that's what you call it) this was happening to me as my heart was racing having to walk through the scanner, (but its cool I was in the all clear) After all that we had a couple hours free time to chill out and get something to eat, so me and my group of friends went to Weatherspoon's and had  Breakfast/lunch/dinner and some off us ad some cheeky vodkas. Once we were on the plane me and my group of friends where separated and we sat next to strangers (this made the flight seem longer) I just popped my earphones in and listened to music the whole journey.
When we arrived at Malta it was dark and we all hopped on another couch and went straight to the hotel.

During the weekdays

Once we arrived we had to check into the hotel and then we only had an hour before we had to go to bed. So my group and I went to get something to eat and went to our rooms for our first night in the hotel.
During the weekdays (Monday - Friday) everyone had to get up at early hours to get breakfast and then head outside for the coach to placement.
My placement was at a beautiful school called St Catherin High School, This school had a nursery, primary and high school all in the one. I was extremely nervous to start my placement but once I got settled in I was fine.
This is a Pitcher of the school.
After placement we had some free time to fill in out log books and go to the pool or go to the shops (or in my case sleep)

Then at 7 o'clock every night we all got picked up to go to Luxol Sports barn to have our dinner and to socialise.

At the weekend

On our first Friday night we all had a party to go to, Paul (the man who organises it all) had a birthday party. We all got dressed up and headed out to the party (witch btw had a free bar). At the party we got to meet the Malta football players who where lovely. Overall the evening was wonderful.
The day after (Saturday) we all got up rather early (not as early as we would of on placement but early none the less and went to Valletta where we had a tour guide to tell us all about the history of Valletta.
The Flower Garden in Valletta
The Beautiful view all off the boats from Valletta

After we had our tour we got a couple of hours to do what we wanted like shop or get something to eat. Sadly the weather didn't agree with us as it was raining for a while. After Valletta we got the coach to our hotel and got ready for dinner.

On the Sunday we went to a fisherman's market where they where selling where I got my braid done in my hair. I didn't really enjoy the market as it stank off fish and I didn't really feel well anyway.

The weekend after we had a karaoke night on the Friday and then On the Saturday we headed to the beach. The beach itself was beautiful and it was calming and relaxing but I got burnt (even though I had factor 50 on) I still managed to get burnt. I didn't go into the sea for 1) I didn't want to b wet sitting on the bus home and for 2) when your in the sea you get even more burnt. But overall it was a beautiful day and we all had a relaxing day.

Home Time

After all they amazing experiences it was time to go home. I had only missed home a little bit but I was glad to be going home to my own bed. our flight was not until later on so we got dropped off at a shopping mall where we got left to shop for last minute times and made our own way up to Luxol where we where getting picked up to go to the airport. Because we where running a little late when we got to the airport we didn't have but time at all to check in and go through security, remember at the start where I said I didn't like going though the scanner encase it beeped and I was glad because it didn't even although I never do anything wrong ? well this time even although I still had not done anything wrong when I walked though the scanner it BEEPED!! My heart dropped as I got pulled to the side to get searched the woman had fell all sorts of places before she could let me go. They put it through as a random check and let me go once I went through after the shock wore away me and my friends made our way to the gate where we just sat and waited to board. This time I was sitting next to my friend so the flight wasn't that bad but it still dragged in. Once we had landed we picked up our suitcases and headed on the coach trip the college where out family's where picking us up. on the coach trip everyone was so tiered as no one was talking and we where all half asleep. once we got off the coach my mum picked me up and took me HOME.

overall I thought this work experience to Malta was amazing and I would highly recommend it to anyone who has the chance to go.

Interducing Me To You

Hi my name is Amy Danielle Richardson and I thought that I would dedicate this blog post to introducing myself a little bit. I was going to do an introduction blog post for my first blog post but I decided not to and do it today.
Here are 5 facts about me:

1)      I am 18 years old and still live with my parents

2)      I am currently at college studying childcare

3)      I have two older brothers and four nieces

4)      Danielle is my middle name (not a part of my first name)

5)      I have a love for makeup (even though am not too good at doing it)

They are just a few facts about my life, pretty boring isn’t it? Well not boring like I don’t like what I am doing, boring as in nothing trilling or exiting or adventurous. I do want to live an exciting and adventurous life but I just can’t at this moment in time, maybe when I am older and have a job and more I can live my dream and travel America. I would love to go to America and go to Disney world Florida (another fact I am a massive Disney fan) I would also love to go to New York and LA and everywhere really but more on that in another blog post.

Well there you have it some facts about me whether there interesting or not I don’t know but that is part of my life. I just wanted to make a post saying Hi and tell you a little something about me.

 Thanks Luv Ya!

 Bye

Trust and Respect

There is an old saying about respect that goes " to get respect you must earn respect". I am a strong believer of this particular saying because its true isn't it? I mean you’re not going to meet someone for the first time and then instantly respect the is you? No. The same goes trust, you’re not going to meet someone for the first time and tell them your deepest darkest secrets are you? There are different ways you can go about and earn someone's Trust and Respect like you can:
-Be nice to their face and behind there back (not a lot of people do that nowadays)
-Spend time with them and get to know them better and let them get to know you.              -Give them your Trust and Respect if you feel that they deserve it.
-Be honest with the person.
There are multiple things you can do to earn someone's respect.
The reason why I am talking about this subject or "blogging" about It is because I see myself a very respectful person, I don't mean that I have everyone's respect (well I don't know if I do or not) but I mean I respect a lot of other people. By me respecting so many people that has led me to trusting so many people and maybe that has me trusting people I should not trust and that has brought me so the subject matter, I have trusted so many people that maybe I shouldn't off and they have told others what I have trusted them to keep secret. This has brought me to another old saying " Be careful who you vent to, a listening ear is also a running mouth". So the message that I am trying to get across is yes you can respect and trust people but don't give your respect away to easily it is a delicate thing and you don't want someone smashing it into tiny pieces and then that leads you to not trust and respect again.

P.s Sorry I don't mean to make this post sad and gloomy I am just trying to het my opinion across.

Thanks Luv Ya!

YouTube

YouTube is a tricky one, It is a very popular in fact it is so popular nowadays people can get famous by posting a video on to it. I really want to start a YouTube channel (not to get popular) just because I like the idea of having your views and opinions heard but I lack the confidence to do so, I am scared of being judged in any way shape or form it either being on the was I look or speck. If I had to make a You Tube channel I know exactly what I would like the content to be like I am not wanting to start on YouTube just for the sake of doing I want to get my views and points across to people weather it being about:
Make Up/ Beauty Products
Movies
Books
Baking
I want to share my feeling and findings with others but just not having the confidence to do so by siting in front of a camera. That's why I have made this blog because I can get my views across without having to sit and let people see me.
